Online admin support

Online admin support, delivered remotely

Online admin support means the back office runs without anyone sitting in your building. No desk, no laptop to buy, no payroll number — just one named assistant working inside your systems, Monday to Friday, on the tasks you no longer want to own.

Remote by design

Everything is delivered online through your own email, calendar, CRM and accounting tools using delegated access, not shared logins.

UK hours, UK context

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time, from Enfield in North London — with UK invoicing, VAT terminology and HMRC deadlines understood.

One named assistant

The same person every week, learning your clients and your process, rather than a rotating pool that has to be re-briefed each time.

Why online support suits smaller businesses

An in-house administrator costs a salary plus employer National Insurance, pension contributions, holiday and sick pay, equipment and management time — and you pay for the quiet weeks as well as the busy ones. For a business that genuinely needs eight to twenty hours of admin a month, that maths rarely works.

Online admin support is billed on worked time. In a quiet month you spend less; in a busy month the hours flex up. The VA versus employee comparison sets out the full cost difference, and the ROI calculator runs it against your own hourly value.

Getting started without disruption

Nothing needs to be rebuilt. Support slots into the tools you already use — Outlook or Gmail, Xero or QuickBooks, HubSpot, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet if that is genuinely what you run on.

The first job is usually a backlog: an inbox that has not been sorted in months, an invoice run that is behind, a CRM full of half-finished records. Clearing that in a couple of paid hours makes the ongoing arrangement obvious, and the onboarding walkthrough shows exactly what the first two weeks look like.

Questions

Common questions

Do you need access to our email account?
Usually yes, through delegated access rather than your password. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace both allow an assistant to manage an inbox without holding your credentials, and access can be withdrawn instantly.
How do we communicate day to day?
Email plus a shared task list, with a short weekly check-in if you want one. Messages sent during UK business hours are answered the same working day.
Do you offer support outside 9 to 5?
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Weekend and evening work is possible at a premium rate by prior arrangement — see out-of-hours admin support.
What is the smallest amount of support you offer?
A two-hour ad-hoc booking at £35 an hour. Most clients use that first booking to clear one specific backlog before deciding about a monthly retainer.
